YOU

ALONE.

Shocked

Which '2' do you drive? What made you choose that one?

Cheers

Hello from sunny Scotland! Smile
I took delivery of my 240i in October to replace my 120d and I absolutely love it! What a piece of machinery it is and it fits in very nicely with my E46 M3! two totally different beasts! Thumbs Up

Hello Issy and Raffy,

See, Raffy, we are not alone!Thumbs Up

Thanks for posting Issy. I'm not surprised you are happy with your new motor! They are superb in almost every way, IMHO.

Are there any little idiosyn...LOL... any little things that you don't like or that irritate you? And the things that delight you?

Hope that Raffy will join in with our chat! Perhaps we will encourage a few more 2 Series bods to join in. In our own little way, we can answer the "Forum is Dying" glass-half-empty brigade!Beer

Best wishes

Peter

Hey Peter
I can fault nothing about the car apart from the tyre pressure system! To cut a long story short I recently purchased a set of OEM wheels from a 2 year old 135 to use as winter wheels and put a set of winter tyres on. All good for about 300 miles then the idrive decided to through up an error as it was no longer reading the tyre pressure. Into BMW for 3 hours only to be told that the sensors in the older wheels are not compatible with the new idrive and it would cost £450 to replace them! They suggested that I put the original wheels back on to make sure the system resets and prove their diagnoses. So did that and all was back to normal so I am driving the car with the idrive continually telling me it can't read the tyre pressure! Most annoying! Next thing to try is change the wheels 1 at a time to see if one of the sensors had failed!
Apart from that the car is great.

Hey guys sorry not replied soon been pretty busy with a new job .

Anyway I bough a M235i back in March 16 . Had a Civic type R Champ white edition before it and there is no comparison . Didn't really think could afford a new car and certainly not my 2 series . Was looking and the new Type R but got an offer I could not refuse . I'm in the RAF hence the name and Knight BMW Staffordshire offer military Discount . So after some number crunching its was a no brainier .

I went for Estoril Blue , sport auto , sun protection , folding mirrors , parking sensors and the amazing M performance exhaust with rear splitter. It's a beautiful thing and the sound is just naughty .

Most annoying thing is that I did not know about the M240i otherwise I would of waited for a bit and ordered that instead . Also is it me or do you think the seats do have much depth and lack of lumbar support .

It's certainly the best car I have owned so far , though can be scary in the wet and ice .

Where is everyone based ? I'm in Crewe Cheshire .

Give it a few months and there will be a M250i closely followed by the M260i in BMW's marketing Departments attempt at world brand dilution.
