   Wiesbaden to host DTM presentation once again in
2012

At the start of the new DTM season, ITR e.V., the DTM’s rights holder
and promoter, continues its successful co-operation with the city of Wiesbaden
and the Kurhaus Wiesbaden GmbH. On April 22nd, the most popular international
touring car series will start its season for the third time already in front of
the beautiful backdrop of the Kurhaus and the Wilhelmstrasse in the capital of
the German province of Hessen. For the DTM, a new era gets underway with the
return of BMW. During the DTM presentation in Wiesbaden, fans will not only get
to see the 2012 driver line-ups of the premium car manufacturers Audi, BMW and
Mercedes-Benz as the new DTM cars and a varied support programme will also
provide an entertaining show. 

“I am really delighted that Wiesbaden will be hosting the DTM season-opening
event once more in 2012. For us, almost a quarter of a million visitors in the
past two years is the best proof that this fascinating motorsport event and the
city of Wiesbaden as its location just fit together perfectly. The show
programme will not only appeal to motorsport fans either”, says the mayor of
Wiesbaden, Dr. Helmut Müller, about the co-operation with the DTM.

The third running of the DTM presentation in Wiesbaden will once again enthuse
the fans with numerous attractive activities: race car rides, pit stop
demonstrations, stunt shows, raffles, photo shoots with the DTM grid girls and
live concerts by renowned artists. Moreover, the driver’s parade along the
Wilhelmstrasse offers the opportunity of an up-close view of the DTM drivers.
Historic race cars and the DTM’s partner series in the paddock provide
additional racing atmosphere and will make the hearts of all motor racing fans
beat faster.

“From all sides, we have received very positive feedback about the DTM
presentation in Wiesbaden”, says a delighted Dr. Thomas Betzler, board member
of the ITR e.V. “Therefore, it is our aim, together with our partners, to stage
another great event this year that will not only enthuse dedicated DTM fans,
but all spectators in the same way.”
