Hi Everyone, I'm new to the forum and looking for a bit of help please. I have a 1999 840Ci Sport (owned for the last 14 years) and the exhaust system has finally given up and needs replacing.
Can anyone recommend a stainless steel system I can buy or have made in the Portsmouth/Southampton area? I'm aware of Longlife in Basingstoke and Powerflow in Southampton, but both appear to have mixed reviews. Many thanks Dave

Many thanks sweets, looks a good recommend. I'll probably wait a bit to see if anything comes up on the mainland first though.

Well, it turns out I wasn’t brave enough to go with
a stainless exhaust! I did a bit more research, but couldn’t get the level of
confidence I wanted for the money involved.
I bought the genuine BMW parts (excluding the CATs) from Snows in Portsmouth for £1,300, including the club 10% discount. My local garage (I know the guy who owns it, so was sure he’d do a good job) fitted it all on Tuesday. I probably would have liked (very) slightly more of a V8 sound, but happy that it is all now sorted. Thanks again for the quick replies and advice, much appreciated. |
