Last week Chris Teagles, Darrens son, came to visit me to take some pictures of my M1.  The weather wasn't great, but in some ways an overcast day can be better for photos than a bright sunny day.  Luckily we finished before it started to rain significantly.

I'm very happy with the pictures Chris took, and I must say what a polite, capable and confident young man Chris is, a real credit to you Darren!

Here are a few of the pictures he took

Thanks Richard, the photos look great, I'm really pleased you like them and yes, I am a very proud Dad!

Think about what you can do for the club, not what it can do for you...

Hi Richard
Are you bringing the M1 to Lloyds/Hadrians Wall/Centre of Britain on 26 June ? I want to compare the M1 against the i8 before deciding which one to steal er I mean admire from a safe distance !

I'm not sure if I can make the 26th June. There are several school activities that weekend and being the weekend after fathers day at Castle Howard doesn't help either!

Just spent the best part of the day cleaning the front driving lights.  Removed, disassembled, polished inside and out, reassembled and refitted.

Car looks fantastic Richard  -  looking forward to seeing it at Gaydon.

Just out of interest, was it just the inside of the glass which gave that lamp its foggy appearance.  Or did you have to do anything to the reflector?

Briefly, how and what did you use to clean the inside of the glass?

The fogging was mainly caused by a thin layer of greasy dirt on the inside of the glass with a bit on the reflector too.

I gave the reflector, which appears to be chrome plated steel, a gentle wipe with a microfibre cloth and polished the inside and outside of the glass with Gtechniq G4 Nano glass polish.

Hi,
Great set of images!
Sometimes an overcast day can bring out the best with a light coloured car.

Thanks Richard, useful info there.

In the old days I always used to steer clear of touching lamp reflectors.  Can't remember what they were coated with, but something pretty soft I guess...
