Many thanks to those members who were at Goodwood yesterday for the moving motor show. Despite high humidity and rain and the mud a great time was had by all, including those from Bristol area and the Midlands.
100 years BMW has 5 locations, including a super M Car display though the years, Mini, BMW Stand and owners lounge with free tea and coffee. Alpina has a stand with the new B7 and there is loads to see, for Schnitzer fans take a look on the Michelin stand. It was great to see the Club had a small marquee booth and nice to meet the ladies from the office and other members, including James who came from Cornwall. I am fortunate to be back on Saturday, just too much to see in one day! |

Hi Norrie
Yippeee - I've just managed to get a couple of tickets for FOS tomorrow, so thanks for your tip about the tea & coffee - we'll make use of that! Richard : E85 Z4 Roadster (East Anglia Region)

Back yesterday with my friend Simon Alcorn and his family, better day weather wise. Good to see Richard Baxter and Neil McDonald at the club marquee. Mr Andy Bovenseipen from Alpina Germany one of the owners was on the Alpina stand with the staff from Sytner Nottingham.
The M Car display was very good and separate from the other BMW displays. |

Had a fantastic day, but very tiring having left home at 03.45am to get down there to beat the traffic, which we did, but only just having arrived at 07.30!
However, tried as we did we could not find where the Club marquee was located - thats even after asking for directions in both the BMW pavilion & on the M Avenue stand, no one was sure if there even was one - nevertheless the complimentary coffee & a chance to have a seat was more than welcome in the Pavillion. |

I only knew the Club was there as I had previously spoken to the club office about the logistics of Goodwood. It was located in a shared marquee in the retail section, not too far from Vauxhall.
It was probably not the most obvious place, but as costs at Goodwood for exhibitors are extortionate I suspect this was the reason that location was chosen? Costs for visitors not cheap either, pint of cider 5.20, breakfast in the Le mans café 13.00 and coffee extra. However if you are in from 7 am to 7pm it still great and lots to see, caught it yesterday on sky tv for the hill time racing. |
