on the above photo you can see i have a lot of orange peel .but even after 2 coats of clear the flake at points is still above the clear. as i have done the car so many times now, i know that once i start to build up the clear, i will be all right to flat it down to get rid of the peel

6 sheets of 800 and 18 hrs to grit the whole car , found had ordered another 5 ltrs of clear so will slap that on as well- the more clear the greater the depth - should not take as long to flat down as the car is smooth now

thought i would have been done by now (paint) , on sat went to do the final clear coats, had moisture in the line ,did not see it in time (center section of bonnet ) due to water ,solvent went down not up.had to remove all the paint from the center section.re-prep done so should get it done if the weather is nice. still have some bar coat, primer and base left .there was a reason i over ordered -to be on the safe side, good job i did

had a go with my fine grit papers on the rear plastic bumper ,from 800 up to 7000 cam out like glass, i know that people grit up to 2000 then use compound,3 grades , for the final finish , ( dont have a da sander, but have plenty of time ) the metal flake pops out in sun light .well happy with how it looks

re-build kit for front 4 pots, one caliper would not move with 115 psi on it all others free . had to use nitros at 1200 psi, boy did it make a noise when it did go. the caliper was blocked with wood so that it could only move 1/ 8 inch, then 115 psi was enough to blow it out. new seals and dust boots for both front calipers ,less than £30 with next day post well worth it. by the time i have re-built the brakes will be time to polish the car

been looking at 8s in spain-seem to go with the 850 rather than the 840, been looking as we are going to live there next year and better to have lhd rather than rhd, locals say rhd cars tend to get pulled by plod

thought would not have time for the work still to be done, with all the house move stuff to do. as its got no mot--- cut losses and scrap the motor--- did some searches to see how much its worth as scrap-----£150 as long as its all there no crash damage, and runs .do these places think i came up the thames on a push bike. so will take off all lights, trim, front and back plastic bits,s/s pipes, wheels as all theses bits will fit a lhd motor. can see why they are called shark spares
