Hello
53, X5 heating fan switches itself on sometimes when you walk past. Sensor has been replaced but problem still exists. It is also not possible to fully turn heater off. I now have to travel with jump leads as battery is not able to cope with power drain. Can anybody suggest a solution Jeff

Maybe worth seeing if anyone in your area has diagnostics for the body module of your car. May shed some light.
You could possibly disconnect the fan for now to save the battery drain. Should be a big mutiplug connector behind the front bumper.
