The April Monthly meet sees us revisiting another favourite route into the highlands.
Plans are to head up to Kenmore for a drive and lunch. I will have a look to see where is best to go for eating in the Kenmore/Killin area and update this when I have found something. So meeting arrangements are..... Lets meet at McDonalds at the Forth Road Bridge around 10am to leave for 10.30 sharp. We will head over the planned route through Glen Quaich stop of at Kenmore for a bite to eat. I will do a route which will be shared on the day. So usual script add your name to the list below. Jim, I'm not sure if its the same route as previous runs to that area but Kinross Services may be a sensible joining point.

I'd love to come along to a meet, cant make 5th April one as my car is going in for a re spray on Monday 30th - certainly wont have it back in time. Is ever any sort of "local"/ regional meets at A local hotel or pub, or just a Saturday or Sunday GTG ? as opposed to a "drive" I'd like to meet up just for intro and a chat ! |

Sorry Guys, if I had bothered to read the 1st entry of the forum I would have seen that you are leaving McD's at the FRB at 10.30 so if I meet you @ Kinross services @ 11.00am or before that should be time enough :-)

Well we do that every month, that's why the monthly meets take in as many geographical areas as we can throughout the year so that the regions members can have a mix of travelling to meets and meets local to them. I know exactly what local is and don't need it explained to me, what I asked was "What do you class as Local though" I don't know you so don't know where you are. Local to me is the Edinburgh area. We don't arrange anything other than the meets / shows as agreed at the AGM and laid out here. That being said, there is nothing wrong with anyone proposing an impromptu meet with people in their particular area. This doesn't have to be on the events calendar and can be arranged by anyone via the forum as long as they understand that it is an unofficial meet up and BMWcc have no involvement with it and therefore it will not be covered by BMWcc liability insurance etc. In the past people have met up for coffee and even a drive for a couple of hundred miles and have had great fun. We have had interest in Saturday and weekday evening meets which would fall into the above description. I hope this explains it for you.
