I have recently acquired a BMW 318d on a '10' plate. Within the interior, there is a brushed aluminium plate (albeit its plastic) that seats around the gearstick gaiter. On one side it has clearly been rubbed and the silver colour has come off making it look unsightly. What is the best thing to try and repair this with?

You could wrap it in carbon fibre but then you would probably have to do all the other trims to make it finished off & not look out of place. Have a look on eBay,I know there was some trim panels on there but they will more than likely have wear & tear marks.

Correct Norrie, a used one off ebay would most likely have some marks on it anyway.. |
