Hi HogDog, I have an 840ci RHD and know that the wipers when turned off will stop around 2" above the rest point for a second or so, then they will drop to below the bonnet line. I'm guessing this is so that the wipers don't interfere with the air flow over the car. I have played around a little with my wipers trying aero style fittings with little success and in doing so have experienced the wipers stopping in the wrong place but after a while they do return to the factory set rest point. Hope this is of some help. regards Phil.

When I was younger I was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said HAPPY. They said I didn't understand the question. I said they didn't understand LIFE !!

Hi Superstarr840, thank you for that info, i have had the complete motor and linkage assembly stripped down as i had a spindle seized, which is now freed off, when reassembling it all back together, i was not too sure of the linkage position on the motor. I have with trial and error managed to work it out and touch wood it seems to be working.
Thanks again.

Dear John
I had the same problem when I bought my 840ci BMW told me that the linkage was worn and needed replacing at a cost of £1100 I kid you notso I went on the web at the cost of £100 and found one but BMW would not fit it as it was not there part so I found a garage called autobarn in northhamton who took the old one off and made I good one out of the two it now works at 100 pe cent better than BMW tried to get it to work. Regards Dave C
