Hi all

Renewal is up on my e36 m3 evo

I've had my renewal through from classic line who I've been with for a good few years and I thought I would try A plan being car club related

I was surprised as they didn't get even half the price of my renewal

Anyone had a similar scenario

It may be it suits other driver postcodes possibly

But I will be sticking with classicline this year

Gerald do you mean Classic Line was half the price of A plan ?.. I have been with Classic Line for years, A Plan have never been able to compete on price, think it could be a postcode thing ?, be nice to know if any North West Members are with A Plan ? and which part of the North West they are in... just out of curiosity Wink

Did you call the BMW Car Club insurance team 0330 123 0197 or just a local A plan office? It is only this number that can attempt to give special rates, albeit not in every case.

I was using A Plan at Thatcham (this office only) before the club thing and have two cars with them.

Can someone please clarify for me if A Plan at Thatcham & the BMW Car Club insurance scheme are one of the same.
Last year I insured my E46 with A Plan Thatcham after getting a quote & informed them I was a bmw car club member,it was about half of what I paid the previous year with a different insurer. I renewed again in April this year with A Plan & the price is no different.

I too was very surprised (read disappointed)that A Plan quote Thumbs Down was double my current insurer but hey ho worth trying the car club insurance and at least gives us peace of mind if our current insurers are giving us great value Thumbs Up
Tell it how it is the Northern way.

I was very disappointed to here A plan were our insurers but to support club gave them a try. After given them all my details  they promised to send details in post. Today 27th August insurance expired 13th Aug. Still waiting. Went to Gaydon on 13th no thanks to A  plan.                                                                                                                                                                  Contacted other insurers for quotes the A.A offered me best deal. When i told them i .was a  A A gold card member got even better. If the club is going to do insurance they need to change insurers, SHOULD consider A A they would give a much better and cheaper deal. DIRECTORS PLEASE TAKE NOTE. When at Gaydon Met girls in office who promised  to look into this matter. Not heard from them yet.Ouch

The Bmwcc insurance is done through A Plan at thatcham, I wasn't sure if it was still done through A plan as it was a different phone number I had seen advertised to the one I had previously rang.
I asked a lady at gaydon who wasn't Bmwcc office staff & it was then clarified that they are one of the same. I found it a bit confusing as to whether they were different insurance companies.
I will be looking at other quotes next year for comparisons.

Regards
Rich
