This can be coded if you already have fitted the mirrors that fold with the internal button press. I have recently coded this on a few FXX series cars abeit not an M4 but each time its worked fine as well as other coding I have done with it to my own F31. I use a Bloothtooh OBD port dogle and the Bimmercode APP (www.bimmercodeapp.com) on my iphone it cost me £27 for the dongle & £25 for the app have a look at it it might be worthwhile as it allows more than just mirror coding. There are some people online on forums etc who are charging £40 to code all they can or you want using this type of sytem so that is an option. Heres the list of Bimmercode supported vehicles BMW 1 Series F20, F21 from 2011 BMW 2 Series, M2 F22, F23, F87 from 2013 BMW 2 Series Active Tourer F45 from 2014 BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer F46 from 2015 BMW 3 Series, M3 F30, F31, F34, F35, F80 from 2011 BMW 4 Series, M4 F32, F33, F36, F82, F83 from 2013 BMW 5 Series, M5 F07, F10, F11, F18 von 2010-2017 BMW 5 Series, M5 G30, G31, F90 from 2017 BMW 6 Series, M6 F06, F12, F13 from 2011 BMW 6 Series GT G32 from 2017 BMW 7 Series F01, F02, F03, F04 von 2008-2015 BMW 7 Series G11 from 2015 BMW X1 F48 from 2015 BMW X2 F39 from 2018 BMW X3 F25 from 2010-2017 BMW X3 G01 from 2017 BMW X4 F26 von 2014-2018 BMW X4 G02 from 2018 BMW X5, X5 M F15, F85 von 2013-2018 BMW X5 G05 from 2018 BMW X6, X6 M F16, F86 from 2014 Mini F54, F55, F56, F57, F60 from 2014 BMW i3 from 2013 BMW i8 from 2013 Edited by RENT-A-GOAT - 30 Jan 2019 at 9:03am |

It is somthing I can do and that I have done on other FXX vehicles but never on an M2/3/4 Im guessing the process will be the same but will need to look into it a bit more just to see if there is anything model specific or if anyone has come across any issues. The bimmer app developer is also really helpful so will ping an email to him for his take on it also shoudl have a reply fairly quickly from him. Im based in Warwickshire not far from Coventry. Do you open/close your car with the key fob or do you have comfort access?

Ok I have an update, Stephan (developer of bimmercode) has replied and it is the same process on the M4 as it is on any other FXX, which a member on F30post also confirmed was the case when he coded using bimmercode the same thing to his M4, so I’m happy to meet up and we can hook it up and can go through it with you.
