We had over 40 ALPINA Cars at the show, it was the proportionately largest group of any single brand at the show. We were parked in the new area half way down the spine road on the right hand side. One person thought it resembled a Sainsburys car park.
The majority were satisfied with the show, but some never ventured away from the ALPINA cars as there was too much to discuss in this the single largest gathering of 2019 in the UK. Unfortunately it rained heavily about 1 pm and people started to leave. Sytner ALPINA were present with the GO1 XD3 and an E21 replica. Unfortunately Simon Alcorn was on holiday so we missed him and the use of his ALPINA marquee and flags, owned by him. |

I realised after looking at the excellent pictures that Darren Teagles took that I hardly saw any of the show. I guess that is the penalty for volunteering to Marshal and taking some responsibility for the group? After 2.5 hours of parking ALPINA cars I only had a few hours before it poured with rain and people started to leave. Pity this event is only one day, seems a lot of effort for such a short time. I had a guy come about 9 am and left before 1030 am, not sure why, but general public allowed in at 10am and some left before lunch due one supposes to poor weather.
Fair play to Tony Brown who came from Alnwick in Northumberland, Stephen & Debbie Bone from Co Durham, Chris and his brother from North Somerset. |

A few more comments relating to the parking, all saying it was detached from the event and like a supermarket car park. A few said although they enjoyed the ALPINA meet up they would not come every year, some felt it was pretty much the same as previous years.

Norrie, you mentioned Darren Teagles' photographs of Gaydon. Can you kindly tell me where I can view them please? |

Think about what you can do for the club, not what it can do for you... |
