Hi everyone, I thought I would do another introduction post, but I also need some help with a small issue with my Z4M-Roadster.
At the start of the summer, I had given my mum a lift in my Z4M, with the roof down. As I was putting it up, she jumped out of the car and the roof just stopped dead. I now have the wee red ring pull, pulled out, so I can manually move the roof myself. Luckily it is still able to latch on and close properly with the switch. The motor was a brand new unit that was installed in the car, which was a back in November. Never had any issues with it. I know the system must have gotten all screwed up, but I have no idea how to get it to reset etc. I've tried various things, such as pressing one of the microswitches at the back of the roof area. Is there a way I can reset what ever deals with the roof positioning? My local BMW specialist, refuses to work on convertible roofs, as they are so tedious and can be a real can of worms. I honestly can't blame him. Thanks in advance for any solutions to get my roof behaving once again. Felix |
