Hi,

I'm in desperate need of a MAF sensor for a 1993 E34 M5 S38B38 engine. Bosch part number (0 280 214 006).

This is the last piece of the jigsaw to put my car back on the road after being on a SORN for 8 years and having been refurbed over the last year.

If anyone knows where I can source one of these from anywhere (preferably South-East as I'm near Bromley) but BMW as they want £1,600 I would appreciate it very much.

Thanks in advance

If you're happy to take the risk, there's one in Poland for £400.

Alternatively, a new one from Autodoc for £925.

Have you looked into repairing it? The old sort with moving flap just need the contacts cleaned up.

There was a guy called Bruce, I think, down near Cambridge who actually tunes them. Try contacting Matthew Hunt. He put me in touch with the guy when I was having problems. He also lent me one of his which was very good of him.

Rob.
