Can you delete one of your posts - as its double and currently we are not allowed to post cars for sale - hopefully soon if the rules are observed - I assume its not your car so understand but we need to keep the forum tidy and then we may get a forsale section - cheers Neil

That is absolutely gorgeous !

Quite almost the perfect car (M535i's are a real favourite of mine as a cousen had one when i was a school kid) but, i really want one in silver with black interior.

How often do these come up for grabs guys? Is it worth me just buying this one or should i wait untill the right combination comes along?

these cars are becoming rare they do come up for sale, but condition does play a very big part on the price.
they normally have plenty of rust or just run down and although look good will cost you lots if bad under the skin.this is the best i have seen for a while, with the lowest milage also.
the silver with black interior is poss but more had the blue interior.
if you are looking for a concours car then 12k plus, restored and near perfect 7-12k, very good example 5-7k, good 3-5k, fair 2-3k, poor in need of work 0-2k.
even for breaking they still can get up to near 1k as parts are starting to get rare.
this is just a guide as i've been watching all the prices closely for the last five years.
there are only 195 known to be around still world wide so choice is limited.
tonys site keeps up to speed with all thats about for the e12 m535i.
hope this is of help
steve

Steve thanks for the reply.

If i'm honest i really must have one in silver over black/dark blue as thats how i remember my cousins one all them years ago - christ i can even remember the reg mark !  I also think that spending £13k on the car above (although based on condition it's probably the best out there) i'd much rather hold out for the right car in the 7-12k bracket but, i have the small problem at the minute of other chariots that i own. One of them will have to go to make way for one of these. Is Tony's site the best place to go hunting for one or should i start to do some of the BMW shows this year?

Cheers,
John.

hi john
tony's site now gives you updates on these cars just register and any cars found on the net or put on his site will be foward to you saves alot of net time for yourself.
you do get from time to time these cars at shows we nearly had three at daydon but one broke down just before the show, they are rare so most shows wont have any there.
but the club does put on fantastic venues for meets so even if you dont find any m535i's there, they are good days out.
steve.

Ah thanks for the heads up on that Steve - have just registered over there. All I have to do now is sell my Cerbera and patiently wait me thinks !
Maybe a trip to Gaydon this year in in order for me then. This may sound a little cheeky of me but if your not too far from the London area is there any chance that I could come and have a look at your one, one day - just to see if it is still as I remember it. it must be almost 18 years since I've even seen one !

Cheers,
John.

On a side note, what do you think of the white car featured on that site : http://tonybmw.co.uk/pages/sale/Timbarber/timscar.html

I have e-mailed the seller about it and i've had a look at a few more pictures. It `seems` an honest car.
