Central region have asked us to share details of this event:

All BMWCC members are invited to this fascinating event

The Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway ( Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway ) is a friendly heritage railway, worked in the style of a Great Western branch line. It runs steam and diesel trains from the lovingly restored station at Chinnor, along the foot of the Chiltern Hills, to Thame Junction, just short of Princes Risborough.
Please bring your favorite car along on Saturday July 12th for a very special event, when invited BMWCC members and guests will have exclusive access to the railway. Starting off with a freshly prepared light lunch in the railway's dining cars, we'll take a trip down the line to Horsenden Lane in W55023, a 1960 heritage 'bubble car' with twin AEC engines
For those who have always wanted to have a go at driving a locomotive, the 1953 diesel shunter 'Haversham' (13018/D3018/08011) will be on hand to offer 'Driver for a Fiver' driving turns up and down the platform, between the home signals.
The Tea Room will remain open for light refreshments and also the Station Shop, offering gifts for adults and children alike, a wide selection of transport books and Bachmann model trains. The railway car park will then provide plenty of space to park up our cars for individual and group photographs, to record the occasion, before we close the day and head home.
Cost
Cost per Adult / Senior - £12.50, inclusive of lunch, train trip, yard tour and signal box visit.
Cost per Junior (up to 16) - £7.50, as above
'Driver for a fiver' of 'Haversham' - £5 in the donation bucket per drive
Payment can be made by cash or credit card at Chinnor station, on the day. For more details on this special event for BMWCC members please see July's issue of the Mag which will also detail full Itinerary.
Booking Your Place
To book your place, send an email to : cconwaycrapp@yahoo.com or call Claire on 07973 667221. Please do this by Saturday June 21st, so that I can confirm to the railway, the numbers attending. Please advise:
Your name
Your contact telephone number and email
The car you anticipate bringing along
The anticipated number of Adult /Senior and Junior guests in your party
Any special requests - which we'll try to accommodate if possible!
Full details and a location map will be emailed out prior to the day.
Many thanks - I hope you can make it!
