    Posted: 28 Feb 2015 at 6:01pm
I want to see if there is any appetite for us to put in a stand for this event which is coming up at the  Ingliston, Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh on 11th - 13th Sept 2015.
The show is called the Ingliston Revival and looks very interesting with lots going on. this looks to have the potential to be a large event and the committee think its a good opportunity to get in at the start!
Its a 2 day event, 12th & 13th Sept and the cost for us to put on a stand starts at £39 per car which included entry tickets for 2 people and a stand pass for the car. For £89 you also get 2 track sessions. Now these are packages so Im not sure if you would have the choice of which one you want or if we would need to pick one and all go for the same one if we are putting on a stand. I can find that out later if there is interest. Full cost details can be found on the car club page. The usual rules for car shows will apply, ie members will get priority!
So all I need to know at the moment is the following and no more!
  1. Are you interested?
  2. Are you happy to pay £39 to enter?
  3. Can you commit to both the 2 days 9am - 6pm?
  4. Are you a paid up member of the BMW Car club?
ONLY if you answer YES to these questions please reply to this thread to add you name. I will leave this up for a few day and we can take it from there!
Thanks
Issy

Ok guys for those interested in this event the details are as follows. It appears that they have dropped the price as the detail I have received is cheaper than was originally advertised and there are 2 choices. Concours stand and track or Concours stand only. Both options include 2 tickets for each day.

What do you need to do?
You need to register and pay online and I have a password for the discount. So if you can agree to the following....
  1. The entry fee is payable up front and strictly non - refundable.
  2. You must be able to commit to both days 9am - 6pm. This is a 2 day event. No exceptions.
  3. You must be a fully paid up member of the BMW Car club. (for insurance purposes)
Please pm me with
  1. Membership number
  2. Full Name and forum name
  3. model and year of car
And I will send you the link and the password to register your car. Please then confirm back to me when you have registered online so I can add you to my list.

Information for the event

Track Driving & Concourse - It will be possible for a limited number of owners to take to the track and experience the Ingliston Circuit in their own car. Each car group will be invited to drive the track alongside other vehicles of similar heritage and performance.

As well as being able to drive on-track you are also invited to display your car at the car concourse over the revival weekend.

Each group will be invited to take part in two 15 minute rallies over the weekend.

Cost per car £49 inc VAT
Car club members receive a 10% discount
Each car will receive a collectable car sticker and certificate
You are invited to submit information about your car that will be shared online and on Revival TV (http://www.ingliston.co.uk/ingliston-tv/)
Each car entry receives two complimentary entry tickets per day of the event

Car Concourse only - If you would prefer to show your car in the car concourse without any track activity, then it is possible to display your car along side other vehicles of similar heritage and interest.

Cost per car £29 inc VAT £10
Each car entry receives two complimentary entry tickets per day of the event and a collectable car sticker and certificate

UPDATE RECEIVED TODAY - PRICE REDUCED!!!!!
I have received this email today they have reduced the concours price to £10! I need those who have shown an interest in this event to confirm asap that they are going all other details as in previous post!!

Hi Isabelle,
I have an update for you on our concourse package.  Having received feedback from several car clubs we have taken the decision to reduce the price of our concourse package to £10 per car.

The charge of £10 for the full weekend offers entry for two adults (children 15 and under are free), one display car with parking in the concourse and a commemorative sticker.

We hope that this reduced charge will encourage owners to show their pride and Joy at the inaugural Ingliston Revival.

If you have any questions please let me know.

As i said there would be no one from ANY car club would be stupid enough pay £40 to display there car.
We have enough trouble getting people to pay £5.00 !!!
These folks forget without entrants they have no car show !! Thumbs Down So they must price entry to encourage people to enter.
Glad they have finally seen sense & reduced the price .
So on that point you can now count me in Thumbs Up
Shorty wants to go Smile
PM on the way
