Call from Harry Fairbairn yesterday confirmed my shiny new F26 X4 will be with me in a couple of weeks, so thought today would be well spent giving "Old Faithful" a final detail, inside and out, before the trade-in.

She's been a good old workhorse, and aside from "stone chips a-plenty", she still looks pretty good for her age and 110K miles.

I had a very long look at the F26 X4 just before purchasing my GT, its very big on the outside, thought it was a X6 initially untill i saw the badge. Good choice, look forward to the day you collect it and put up some picks.

Pick her up on Tuesday! YAY

Had the similar, but opposite journey. Looked at and test drove the GT, but saw the X4 in the showroom and couldn't resist it. Test drove the 30d, and placed the order for the 35d the next day!

They definitely divide opinion, just as the X6 does, and they are still rare as hens teeth. Trying to get it insured via Churchill yesterday took ages as it was the first X4 which had been registered with them or their underwriters (which considering the X4 came out in September 2014 amazes me!).

Bottom line is I love the look and feel of it, and that's all that really matters ;)

One last picture in the sun for posterity. I pick up the X4 tonight!
