Just wonder whether this is of interest.

http://www.transport-museum.com/visiting/CarClubs.aspx

Museum entry is free and pre booked car clubs can display for free outside the main entrance.

Surely this has got to be a no brainer for a club event.

Works for me, a good season opener...

Well Sebalexandra, welcome to the club, you'll have to tell us what you drive or what you have? Where your from?

I see yourself and phil would like both ends of the calander, its always the way. How about meeting in the middle if I said the 12th??

I can organise it, no problem.  I like other peoples feedback so I can try and suit everyone and what they would like (tho I cant please everyone, lol. Ask the wife, lol)
plus if anyone else would be interested let me know on here.

p.s Phil well done.

We enjoy the whole package of the club by meeting people like yourself and everyone at events and on the forum. You'll get to know us. You'll get your magazine and card through soon, you are very welcome to goto any event you feel like. Your car sounds awesome. Youve got to show it! So feel free to get I
involved and welcome again.

12th sounds good to me too? Anyone else?

Hi people. I did find this on there website

-------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"IMPORTANT INFORMATION - REDEVELOPMENT WORKS:

From March 2014 to Spring 2015 we are working on an ambitious £8.5m Redevelopment programme, which will see 12 of the museum's 14 galleries transformed, as well as improving visitor facilities throughout the museum.

We are OPEN to visitors throughout the majority of this project, however this work means that some areas of the museum are closed to the public and other galleries have reduced displays.

There is still lots to see and do, but we encourage you to click here to find out how your visit may be affected during this period, in order to avoid any disappointment."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The last section is another link and it states this for good news in April.

############################
Our redevelopment

From March 2014 until April 2015, Coventry Transport Museum is undergoing a major £8.5m redevelopment project, which will transform and re-energise the museum, enabling us to tell the story of our City's proud motoring heritage in a world-class, innovative new way.

We intend for the museum to remain open throughout the majority of this period, although understandably, some areas of the building will be closed to the public whilst they are being worked on.  Please keep an eye on this area of the website to find out the latest information about which areas of the museum will be open when you plan to visit us.

###################################

I have contacted them to see if April 12th is available, just gor to wait for there reply. Just thought ill let you know

Hello.

just to inform you that the 12th April 2015 is provisionally booked as they are waiting on the my application and waiting on Coventry Council events team.

They have stated that we must use drip trays as its a public area plus we would need to clean any mess including our own litter away otherwise we could be charged.

The area can hold up 50 cars.

Just to keep you all informed.

** would a small bit of rug/carpet do if dont have a drip tray, I can get one but not everyone will? I know our cars are very well maintained but you never know, just a thought?**

lol. I know Norman.

I would think if you know your car might have a little leak take a tray or something as a precaution.  I did state we do look after our cars in the post above. plus only relaying the information I was given so I dont get bit on the backside.  Plus i would'nt want anyone scrubbing the floor at the show as its the "councils property" they do Anything to get some more money out of people.

I know you know what I mean, from the pictures they have had VWs and alot older cars so they are just covering themselves too.

Thumbs Up
