Apart from the paintwork touchups and the alloys to be refurbed back to new, I would like to make two upgrades. Number one would be the brakes so recommended pads and discs would be really helpful. When the brakes are done, i am going to fit stainless braided hoses and new fluid.

Second upgrade would be either new springs with a small amount of lowering or do both and include the shocks too, again any recommendations would be most appreciative. Also if I did go down the route of the shocks then is it worth fitting new brushes throughout?

Appreciate the support, regards

Paul

My E30 and several others I have done to keep them looking fairly standard but upgrading the original parts included - Bilstein B8 and B6 dampers, Eibach springs (prokit), Goodridge hoses, and for sensible price upgrade on brakes EBC discs and pads - all of these are available with discount through the E30 register if you are registered (which is free) - we have also had some group buys on here on some of these parts and are likely to do again

I don't think that I am a member of the e30 register, i seem to recall a sheet in my welcome pack when i first joined. Many thanks for the advice regarding the upgrades, one suspension system that did catch my eye was the bilstein street pack, which, included springs and shocks for about £230 all in.

It free to join the E30 register and we are planning lots of information on events, discounts and deals inc Bilstein moving forward and able to reccomend specialists in differnet locations through the UK to supply and install parts.

Regards Streetline kit looking at whatyou have said about your car this may not be suitable - as they are oe shocks and 40mm lowering springs - whereas the more expensive shock absorbers are more robust give a better ride and lend themselves better to UK roads and mated with an Eibach prokit works well and approx 30mm lower - but cost more - howver the club and register will offer discounts etc - let me know if can assist any further
