BMW Car Club South East Region Family Day and SE Concours Sunday 12th June 2011 Once again the South East Region (Thanks John) has come up with a NEW VENUE for the main South East event in 2011. It has been decided by the committee that the BMW Car Club South East Family day out and Concours meeting will be held on Sunday 12th June 2011 at the Quex Park Museum and Activity centre, situated in Birchington, Kent. CT7 0BH. FULL Details below: NEW VENUE 'Jungle Jims' at The Quex Park Museum and Activity centre. Birchington Kent. CT7 0BH Full details together with driving directions and a detailed map of the area can be found at www.quexpark.co.uk An alternative route bypassing the Town of Birchington would be to continue along the A299 Canterbury Road, turning left at the prospect roundabout on to the B2048, bear left and through the Village of Acol. The Quex Park and Museum will then be situated on the right hand side about a mile down the road. On entering the park bear round to the left and follow the signs for the BMW Car Club special arena.
We will be the only vehicles situated within a large field also comprising 'Jungle Jims' activity centre and the Craft Fair Village. Entry to the concourse is for BMW car club members only, on production of your membership card for the sum of £5.00 per car. Just a reminder, we will not be running the modified section.
Those attending should be aware that there may be other fees to pay to enter some other attractions, eg the Quex Park museum @ £4.00 per person. Most of the other attractions will be free.
There is one smaller restaurant area within 'Jungle Jims' area and another beside the main house, a few hundred yards away. There are ample toilet facilities available. The following are an example of the type of activities that may be found there:-
Craft fair and Village centre, Maze, Falconry centre, Secret garden, Museum and main house situated within beautiful grounds. There is also a large Farmers market just inside the entrance on the right with fresh meat, fish and vegetables, and yet another larger and more up market restaurant. URGENT Please be aware, due to recent heavy rain and use of heavy plant vehicles, the only entrance gateway to the field leading to our allocated area now has a small drop into the field. Hopefully this will be resolved this afternoon as they have promised to raise the level of the field. Those attending should be aware it could cause a problem to low slung vehicles, there is a risk of grounding. Please exercise extreme caution when using this gateway which you use @ your own risk. If necessary I will endeavour to procure an alternative adjacent field for us to use. kind regards, John Way

Maybe it would lighten the load if you were to get out the car and push it in.
