The only way with my Z4 is to half lower the roof to expose the inside of the window. I suspect that the 4 series convertible will be the same.

If it's anything like as awkward as mine (E46 Convertible) the only answer is to draw the seats as far forward as possible, tilt them forward, and contort yourself on your knees on the back seat. It's a struggle, but it is possible.
