Our next monthly meet is scheduled for 6th Sept. After a successful meet there last year I have managed to book the Flotterstone Inn again. The meet time requires to be earlier than normal so we can ensure first access to the car park. The manageress will open the car up at 11.45 for us and the public will have access from 12 so as it is a small car park and likely to be busy if the weather is good we need to be there sharp to get first choice of the parking.

After a visit there recently I thought the prices had risen since last year however I have been informed that they will be doing a '2 courses for £9.50' menu. A sample of this is below but will be subject to change. They also do the normal burgers, soup, panniis etc. The full menu is available on the website (link above).

I have provisionally booked it for 10 at the moment but it would be helpful for them to have rough numbers of who will be eating.
So if you intend to eat can you add copy and paste the list, add your name & number of passengers below.

As last year it would be nice to take a drive after we have eaten. So come along for the usual friendly chat & banter of our pub meets and hopefully there will be no snow this year!!!!!

2 Course Set Menu = £9.50

Starters
Homemade Soup of the Day
Deep Fried Butterfly Prawns served with a Garlic Dip
Chef’s Chicken Liver Pate served with Toast
Vegetable Samosas

Mains
Spicy Pork Enchiladas
Chicken Piri Piri
Haddock & Dill Fishcakes
Quiche Lorraine

Flotterstone Inn Meet ~ 6th September 2009

Although a bit of a driech day not a bad turnout of 13 cars for this monthly meet.
Welcome along to newbies, Cameron & Laura and Carla - hope you enjoyed your first meet.
Also good to catch up with folk, post Gaydon

The meet was followed by a short local drive.
However, due to the large amounts of traffic when I was pulling out of Flotterstone,  I was way too far back to see the main group, lost my way, so took the alternative route home.

Anyway a few pics from today

Some of the attendees ..

Something of interest brought about some discussion

The unveiling of Paul's newly refurbished engine - looking good

Newbies - Cameron & Laura ...

Newbie Carla ...

Good afternoon had by all ... I enjoyed it and also the wee blast home ... those were some nice roads, and an extreme pity about the cyclists, and the conoe carrying landrovers ...lol
However a good afternoon out with friends :)
Not sure how we lost you Nero, to be honest I didnt even see you going into the petrol station !!!
See you all at the next one which I think is East Fortune :)
