Alpina Works Car Found!

   I think I've found a genuine Alpina Works car in the UK, it's a 2002 Ti 1969 and been standing for 40 years.

The story goes Alpina brought it to the UK and raced it at Silverstone, the car broke down (ceased gearbox), Alpina couldn't be bothered to take it back to Germany and sold it to a guy called John Stanton, there's press cuttings and written history about it's history.

Attached is some of the original Alpina letters, there's also books hand written with the story and it's history. It has the original CR steering box and apparently original 200 Bhp engine (not with the car), as you can see it has the correct and original steering wheel, extra dash gauges. Long leg diff's, vended discs (front) and twin carbs. The car was dismantled and looks solid, loads of parts are boxed and scattered around the garage, mostly ceased and rusting of course.

It also sat on 13" 7J Minilites.

I've made my intentions known and praying to get hold of this once in a lifetime treasure.
