Hi, I've just brought a 125I 3.0l m sport coupe. When we don't use it for a few days it comes up with battery discharge warning on the dash, I've tested the battery 12.23volts start it up and it charges at 14.3volts. It does start but ok but sounds abit sluggish on first press of the start button. Any ideas?
Also while Tring to find the fuse box, I pushed one of the glove box catches in to far and it's come away from the handle mech, can this be accessed as it looks like a sealed glove box lid.
This will probably be the first of many questions about my car thanks in advance.

Not sure about the glovebox but i would suggest investing in a Ctek battery conditioner if you are only using the car sparingly. In the long run your battery will last longer and you will end up reaping the rewards. It will also put less strain on your alternator. The model I use is the MXS 5.0 combined with the adaptor with the flashing indicator on it so that you can see what the state of charge is before plugging in.

Thanks I will have a look at that, just couldn't understand why it would be discharging.

How old is the battery? Is it the original? It shouldn't be coming with a discharge warning unless the voltage is going low due to old battery or you may have a parasitic drain from a module.
