BMW Run-flat Tyres

   Hi, I recently got an ex-showroom display BMW 116I (58 Reg). 

After talking to a few people, I found out that some have decided to change from their expensive run flat tyres to ordinary low profile tyres. 
Now as I�m no expert, does anyone have any feedback on whether changing the tyres would be a good idea, as this would also change the ride and handling.
