This month we breakfast at York Marina in their cafe overlooking the water.
This is one super location, a real gem indeed. The perfect stop off before or after a visit to York.
Dead handy for the A64 A19 interchange at Fulford.

Saturday 6th November at The Waterfront Cafe, York Marina, Naburn, YO19 4RW 
9am -11am
Reserved BMW parking area

Can you let me know if you want a place reserving indoors at the breakfast table.
I have reserved just 10 places but this can be increased if I know beforehand.
No need to pre-book if you just want to rock up for the outdoor bacon roll munching, tyre kicking experience.

Yes I think "Barn-Stormer" will be SORNed at end of October. Lets see what the weather does. Probably need to give "TUP" the 320si a blast so might bring that along, this weeks MoT permitting! Marginal on Cat performance so fingers crossed

Hi Nick. Sorry but I'm going to have to cancel. Took a bit of a dive from a ladder and I think it may be a couple or three months before I'm behind the wheel again.

Ouch, hope you start feeling better quicker than that.
In the meantime I have a job for you, but only when you are up for it and there is no rush.
Can you hitch a ride and nip along to Byards Leap near Cranwell and sound out that Mr Woods you were telling me about regarding a Saturday morning breakfast meet and see if the cafe next door are up for it as well

Hi Guys

Sorry for the delayed reply to your kind enquiries on my well being!

I did a proper job on the R lower leg, tibia fractured twice and fibula once. So now have a leg full of ironmongery and more staples down my shin than the local stationary shop

Needless to say I shalln't be very outgoing for a while! Deeply annoying as I did it just 4 days after picking up a 2009 Lotus Elise R and have barely driven it in anger yet!

Anyway, must look forward with +ve view!

Regarding a meet at Woods Motor Co, I know that Dan is up for this as I have discussed it with him previously. He is keen to get more BMWCC members through the door and advertises monthly in S6.
Likewise, subject to warning and a fair guide to numbers, George at the Byards Leap Country KItchen will be pleased to have some additional trade.

Once I'm properly rehabilitated, I'd be pleased to work with you more experienced members to get something organised. But keep in mind it will be well into 2022!

What a cracking good Breakfast Club that was.
Who'd have thought a boatyard would be the perfect venue?
None of the usual 'greasy spoon' fayre. 
The offering here would grace any hotel dining room.
20 of us enjoyed a superb breakfast in a stunning location.
Thank you to all that came and joined us.

Another good one to add to the list for next season.

Back to The Motorist next month for our last Breakfast Club of the year.
