Hi Darren I was there Sat morning till the evening. Managed to get a good video in the morning of one of the Mazda cars for Help the Heros trying to do doughnuts under the downdraft of an Apache helicopter, doing its own doughnut 20ft above the car. The buffetting i was under made for shaky camera operation, as i was trying to stand up on crutches at 45deg as well as holding the camera. The file is 87meg which is too big to mail. Any suggestions how i can get it on here. (i could put on a CD for Monday night pub meet) I have also got some interesting static shots, but, not had time to transfer for use on here yet. I have not yet seem the result from Sunday ! Did a Ferrari win ? We have got to get a lot more club members there next year - it is a fantastic experience. |

Thanks Neil, it was a challenge to capture (not sure I did the best job I could - maybe next year!).

Darren, stunning photos as usual, the early evening shots are great
Bernie, don't beat yourself up, Darren spent £3m quid on his camera equipment - and he has Chris to tell him what to do !!
 By the way, did the RAC man get your car fixed in time or did you have to start the race from the pit lane !

Some of my stuff, not so much because I was shooting film for a lot of it.. Also I noticed.. most of the stuff I uploaded doesn't feature a car...

Its an event that needs a lot more members attending next year. There is a lot now for families to see and take part in, as well as just watching exiting racing throughout the day and night. Rock concerts are also planned for next year. it would be good to get a lot of BMW's parked together outside of a grandstand each day. |

Sorry about the shakey picture. Everyone around me sat down to take photos- i couldnt as i am on crutches. Had to lean at 45degrees and hold camera very tight at same time. Lucky i have a bulky body to weigh me down! You cant believe the downdraught from that copter.
