Thanks that sounds interesting. I am unsure if it is ethical to advertise my business here so I shall not, for the minute

Daniel, I was not knocking you for your post. I am fairly new to the forum so was not sure if it is ok to advertise what I do, however I have supplied a number of companies who are in the motor trade and recently sold some equipment to graypaul Maserati after Silverstone. We also supply Classic world racing and Redbull F1.Therefore if you want to know what it is I do see www.freightcontainerservices.com

Hi Norrie, That's ok, just recieved an e-mail from one of the admin team and looks like you was right with regards to the advertisement, have to be a paid up advertiser so have removed the post just to cover myself.

Wicked, ill check it out. Im from Hornchurch in Essex, so its near London and Romford if you have heard of it? I come under the eastern region. How about yourself?
Kind Regards,
Daniel Crane

Daniel, I thought that might me the situation. I was born in Epping so know Essex well and went to school there. I left when I was 16 as went into HM Forces. May years later my son went to a School at Bishops Stortford so we move there as he did not want to board. However, I know your area very well as I ran a container business from our depot at Dagenham for about 8 years and commuted from Kent everyday. We also had a small depot at Upminster during that time. The depot has now moved to Barking and that is the location we deliver from for the London area, although we have 15 other locations.
I am sure your advertisment was a genuine mistake it is easily done especially if new to the forum.

I am currently driving a 335D E92 which is the coupe. I had always bought new cars and have two 5 series before this. However a freind of mine had bought a used E92 from Cooper Tunbridge Wells. I was really looking for a car just for myself without my business hat on. I did not want a Z as they are not practicle for me, so wanted power and also all the extras I was used to. I got a real result car was 3 years old and only done 15K, has every extra that was available at the time and originally cost 50K. I love it, cheap insurance for me, peformance to match M3, certainly over first standing quarter. Not many around, perfect. I may consider getting an Alpina GT3, but not at 67K each and there were only 99 built 408 bhp.

Very nice! Mind you the 1 series i have now i purchased that brand new, the 335D is a little out of my price range ;) Understand what you mean though having a nice motor for the business image and then your own peronsal image! Ha yeah that was a real result! The Alpina GT3 is an amazing car, for £67K thats quite a hit on the ole wallet! Youll have to keep me updated on that, if you do purchase would be wicked to get some photo shots! Have much planned for the weekend?

Kind Regards,
Daniel Crane

Daniel, yes I was very lucky to have spent two days at Goodwood with Matt Stripling from Synter BMW who displayed the GT3 in Alpina racing colours on the Michelin stand. I learnt a lot about the car and so much so he gave me the keys and left me to help as best I could people who wanted to know about it. Many visitors were impressed that they could sit inside and have their photogrpahs taken and we started the engine for other interested parties.

I really knew little about Alpinas but in my mind these are the best BMW version available. It was a real good feeling to be appreciated for the assistance especially by an expert who is a full time professional and the UK Sales Manager for the Alpina brand.
