CLOSED: APPLICATIONS NO LONGER BEING ACCEPTED  We have been invited to a new show this year, the Cumbria International Motor Show, Westmorland show ground Crooklands Kendal on 20th of May 2018, www.espcarclub.co.uk We have 20 spaces allocated and the cost is £5 per car with a passenger, any BMW is welcome. I will be looking into hotel accommodation to stay in. All I need to know is if anyone would like to go. I have sent the booking details to everyone who has expressed an interest in this new show. This will be a joint stand with the NE and Cumbria regions so something different. Plenty time to add your name if you would like to join us. I have reserved 20 spaces but the uptake is not looking too good so I will have to advise the organisers soon if we don't need these so get your names down! Issy, I have stayed in the Lake district many times. It is never cheap after winter. The further one goes into the Lakes the more expensive, especially if near or on the side of an actual lake. I assume you are talking about the Saturday night?
I agree it might be difficult to find anything under 100 pounds unless folk wanted and were willing to travel closer to the motorway or the other side. I guess with the cost of fuel anything too far could be counter productive. I will look on the route and post any suggestions I find. I appreciate folk will need a fairly safe parking area, a bar, food and the normal facilities. |

Well folks I spent a coupe of hours looking at various sites and have come to the conclusion it will either be very difficult or expensive to find one location for a group, however I defer to those with more patience and time. I shall be coming from the South so will position myself some distance away and just get out of bed a bit earlier. Good luck with the search.

I wouldn't mind paying that. Not sure what others think though. The only hotel i've really stayed in around that area that i know has decent parking is the Tebay services hotel northbound. It has a decent sized car park, the hotels nice but again, it'll probably be around £130pn
