Hello All!
Can you help me?
Turning key to start - all dashboard lights come on,
then a loud click - lights disappear - car dead - won’t start.
Wait a minute try again and car starts normally.

Thank you for reading

OK.

A 1994 car will have EWS1 aka drive away protection. The starter motor and fuel pump need the unlock signal from the body control module so any problem there leads to this issue.

The fault could be a knackered starter or a starter interlock relay. This lives up under the dash, either steering column area or behind the glovebox depending on which way the wind blew that day.

Sadly you can't post photos here but this is what you're looking for:

The current number is 61358364174 replacing 61358362101. On automatics, it's 61358364175 replacing 61358362102.

On autos it could be a fault with the selector switch on the gearshift. It needs an auto electrician.
