I am in desperate need of assistance.
Driving back from France today I started to notice that "something" was not quite right.
For the 1st time ever, at the Calais Eurotunnel terminal, the engine did not start on the first turn of the ignition key.
Fortunately, no problems when leaving the terminal.
However at one roundabout (A243) the accelerator did not respond immediately.
From there, things got worse. The last 20 miles the engine would cut off at traffic lights or idle.
I switched to S-mode on the automatic gearbox and it seemed to resolve the issue, up until the last 5 miles where the car cut off twice in Putney, including inthe middle of a right turn at a dangerous junction.
The car past its MOT 2 weeks ago, drove fine from London to Bourges France and back to Calais, where the problem started.

What should I do now?

Any air leaks evident - also is the fuel okay - fill up and see what it does - may need a filter and then try again before look at expensive stuff

Thanks, is it worth using any additive to the fuel to try to clean it?

there was no message. it would simply cut off when idle or when accelerating from idle.
Took it to the specialist, diagnostics identified sensor problems.
2 sensors were replaced.
Seems to have done the trick.
