Not been around for a while, busy with work and personal reason's, but at long last the jobs that have been put on hold have been done.

Common fault on the E46 is the top scuttle, which allows all kinds of dirt etc, to be trapped behind the front wings and inner arch linner, did BMW never think to put a drainage hole in them? have seen quite a few now which look like this..

After shot-blasting to remove all rust, it was finished off with Zinc and base coat.

So the next job was to leave it in the corner of the unit looking as tho it needed some much sort after TLC.

Both wings removed, due to yet again the inner plastic linners, acting as a water trap with no drainage.
Both wings shot blasted, finished in Zinc then sealed with Shultz.

Then it came down to the detail, which hadn't been done for quite some time.
Out came the DAS along with all the toys.

Products used.

Valet pro snowfoam
Zymol Lehm clay
Menaerna IP
Menzerna FF 106
3M Finesse
Menzerna white & orange pads
Megs yellow pad
Lake country blue pad
2000 Indas wet sand
Wolfgang sealant
Pinnacle souveran wax
DoDo red-mist

Currently on with the second stage, just needs a few layers of pinnacle wax, then topped off with red-mist..
Few pic's

Nice work David, looking forward to seeing you and the car at a show soon, will you be at Gaydon/National Concours?

Darren.

Think about what you can do for the club, not what it can do for you...

No points to loose for all the non-BMW parts either at Harewood so Nick may as well get your trophy ready!!.
Looking very good, as always David, well done and see you soon.
Tell it how it is the Northern way.

Yeah - just the one class for everyone.
We will be marking from the 'open class' judging sheet
