My wife caught the underside of our E60's bumper on a kerb on Friday night whilst parking it. This low speed incident caused a crack about 30mm long on the underside of the bumper (not visable from side) and also pushed it out of it's guide on the nearside where it supposed to sit flush with the wing. My question is do you think it could be repaired without the need for a new bumper (£500 for the part alone) and without removing it as it's fitted with PDC, fog lights and headlight cleaning. I'm pretty good at using a tool kit especially trying to keep my E30 on the road, but I'm just concerned with the complexities of dealing with these modern cars. I'll try at get a couple of photos which would obviously help.

Phil - the E60 and E61 bumper is real easy to remove as long as you know where screws are and can be repaired with correct plastic welder if cracked or heated up and reformed is bend as long as not stretched

Thanks for the advice Neil.

Does any one know of a company around the Beds, Herts and Bucks area that could do the plastic welding?

Ok thanks, I'll try my local bodyshop, I just thought it was a little bit more specialised than that.
