Hi Nigel

I broke one on my Alpina.

Only option i had was to buy replacement lock with new key.

Only problem is you have to buy a set of 4, and of course order through Sytners Nottingham, as BMW dealers will not know what you are talking about. Cost will be about £100.

(PS you will need vin number of Alpina to order)

Drive a BMW and you will have a smile on your face every time (and- drive twice as far as you need to !!)

Hi Nigel
is the key a genuine one? my Alpina wheel keys have a number on, mine starts 4A then three numbers, if you have the other part with the number on you might be able to get a key from sytners. I know that wont help with the key that's  in the lock, have you thought about a locksmith, just a thought!!

Hi everyone
Thanks guys for the feed back. I'm going to have a go tomorrow, but I have a feeling that I will
have to try drilling the lock out. What I am going to do is look around for compatible lock from a different source. I will let you know how I get on.
cheers
Nigel.

When my key broke in the lock , I used a dental pick to pull it out .
Coz they're so thin you can get into the lock hole and manouvre the
key out . Takes a bit of doing , but it works .

Hi everyone
couldn't shift the  key out of the lock, so I had to drill the lock out.
Have ordered a new set but did you know if you have got the key no.
you can order the lockis individually
good luck

Hi everyone
I have now got a new lock set. Just a word of warning, if you order a set, make sure you get a
key for each lock before you leave the dealership. I didn t and the guy at Bracknell would not admit
he had made a mistake by leaving a key out. Good thing was that I had bought the set through
Cooper of Sevenoaks who resolved the problem for me by getting another key at the dealerships
expense as Bracknell still refused to help.
