Sherborne Castle - Sorry we are full

The Club has an official presence at the "Classics at the Castle" Dorset DT9 5NR on Sunday 20th July 2104.

The organisers kindly offered the Club space for parking of 10 vehicles and this allocation has now been taken up, they were looking for classic cars or cars of special interest.

This looks like a super show with over 1000 cars on display.

The above descriptions have been given from the owners, apologies if not technically correct I am no expert. I regret that we have now reached our allocated number which is 10. If there is sufficient interest then we may increase the space next year, however the cost has to be borne in advance and this has been paid by myself and not the Club, so there are no Club funds at risk. I also appreciate that this event clashes with others on the same day in the region, so thank those who have supported this event and wish those from the club who are at others a super day out!

 Take my advice as I live in Sherborne. Do not go in via the Town Centre. Take the Road heading towards Dorchester/Sturminster Newton.Postcode for Sherborne Castle DT9 5NR, Get there Very Early to avoid the Very long Traffic congestion leading into the Castle Grounds. If you can get in before 08.00 it will save you grief  & car overheating, It is a very very good Show with over a 1000+ cars, Also there is a Car auction going on during the Day, Plenty of things to do for ALL the Family, ENJOY

David, assume you mean Sherborne station? I don't know the area, I am staying at Ilchester. What sort of time were you proposing?

I am very happy to be there early, however I would like to get into the venue early and it can be accessed from 0730 am. I will have the tickets sent to me 10 days before the event, so we can do this a few ways. We either meet and I give the tickets and those people give me 10 pounds each please or I can post the tickets guaranteed next day delivery and they will need to be signed for, this costs 1.72 extra. If anyone wants that option then email me norman947@btinternet.com with your address and you can either send me cheque or pay me on the day. There may be a few people meeting together, in that case you can save some money on the post if you want 3 or 4 tickets for example sent to one person. I am fairly flexible but no disrespect will not want to hang around waiting for late comers, which is why I am staying overnight as Horsham is too far to gamble on traffic.

In that case does it not make sense for you to email your address and I send you the 6 tickets, you then distribute them on the morning. I will try and get into the site at 0730. Dont worry about the post cost, I will just collect 10 pounds from each person on the day, any good? Just give me the names.

I will no doubt see Tim E28 and Simon E 30 C2 before and one ticket for me, so just one person left?
