Can anyone tell me what if anything the BMWCCGB is doing to celebrate 100 years at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Is the club even involved? BMW UK Limited switched from Silverstone to Goodwood, has anyone seen any announcement about what they are doing there? The time to buy tickets is now, but not much information, anyone know?

Im heading to the FOS on the Saturday and as far as I know BMW are the main Marque this year due to the 100 year celebrations im not sure what BMW will be offering to owners or what the club will be offering there as im a new member and just finding my feet.

But so far I have seen this information as being the most representive of any car lists or plans by BMW

This year the statue will celebrate BMW’s 100th anniversary,
and will include some of its legendary race cars. The construction will
feature BMW’s 328 Mille Miglia Roadster, the Brabham-BMW BT52 turbo F1
car, and the Le Mans-winning BMW V12 LMR.

To celebrate it’s fast road cars BMW will create its own ‘M Avenue’,
featuring some of the best M cars of the past 40 or so years. Also
expect BMW’s Vision 100 Concept to take prominence on the BMW stand.

BMW won’t just be celebrating with static cars and statues, though.
It will be sending some significant BMWs up the hill too. From its past,
we’ll see a 1957 507, a 1940 328 Touring Coupe and a 1965 1800 TiSA
touring car.

The hill climb record for the Goodwood hill is expected to be broken
this year too. With BMW as the main focus of the show, we expect it to
be a BMW that will try to beat the time Nick Heidfeld set in a McLaren
MP4/13 with a time of 0:41.60.

As for new cars, the BMW M4 GTS will make an appearance too.

It isn’t only BMW that is celebrating its 100th birthday this year.
The Indianapolis 500 is also 100, and  will be commemorated at the
Festival of Speed too. Other significant events that will be celebrated
will be the 50th anniversary of the Can-Am Series, the 40th anniversary
of James Hunt's F1 World Championship, and the slightly tenuous 50th
anniversary of Sir Jack Brabham winning an F1 World Championship in a
car bearing his own name.

I heard that the BMWCCGB is sharing some space with another organisation, model car racing I think. Two people from the club office are there. I shall also be there on the Saturday, along with 20,000 or more others.
