new engine specs

   I have just had a replacement engine fiited by BMW for my M6 under warranty.

 I would like to try to find out the specific specs of it from it's engine number, ie what itteration of

engine this is/manufacture date/general specs etc.

I cant look it up on regular sites as the engine number is not like any I have seen for my car,ie the
S63B44Tx etc.

My new on on V5C is 0627NL** which doesnt compare to any of the codes I can find. Tried asking

BMW UK customer services but they just came back with ,

 "engine has a max net power of 00412kw = 552bhp and a wheelbase engine size of 2964mm"

which is just the generic power specs of the engine, and ?? the wheelbase has to do with it I have no idea 

Any ideas of where to look ,who to ask would be appreciated

	If you had BMW Assured warranty the dealer will claim their costs against that insurer. They have to supply full parts and engine number details and they can give you a print out of it with redacted costs if you ask. I got this for my car from a main dealer when I had a supercharger replaced.

	Thanks Norrie, Yes I have Comprehensive BMW Assured Warranty thankfully as the engine + other parts and removal and fitting of replacement came in at £43,000.
