Well thought it was sorted!
Drove down to the Cotswolds over the weekend.  Car was brilliant, however the run-flat warning light was activated 3 or 4 times.
Phoned Halliwell Jones in Chester today (from whom i had brought and had fitted 2 new Conti's).  Was hoping to speak to a technician, unfortunately couldn't get past reception.  Why are main dealers so unhelpful, no wonder so many resort to independants!

Any of you folks used Bill Smiths in Caergwrle on the Mold/Wrexham road?

Hi Mike,

Thanks for replying.  Yes, at the moment.  I just persisted with the reset and up to now its been ok.
What did you have to do to sort your problem out?

Hello paul, i'm a member of the E46 Zone forum & someone had the problem  on there & was asking for help. Someone posted the reset sequence & i thought it had more in it than i could remember from my many failed attempts, so i religiously followed his ideas & bingo!!
On checking the handbook i find that the first part of the fix is not where you expect it to be,(under "Initialising the system, page 73"), but over the page on 74 "With a burst tyre"!!
Maybe i'ts me but i find it just a little confusing that it's not all  in one item.

Mike.
