This was my first visit to the CMS and I had a great 2 days wandering round the show. Still not enough time to do every stand.

Some wonderful and unique motors on display and everyone I spoke to had a tale about their car.

Will definitely be going again next yearThumbs Up

My 1st time to show, was on club stand and it was hard work as many visitors, but rewarding. Great to see members pulling together to help the club. 65 new members signed up and paid so not bad. Managed to get one chap with Alpina B3S from Leighton Buzzard which was good for me. Cars displayed were very good quality, Tracey Alcorns Z3, Steve Bostocks E30 and his wifes E46 ( i think) and Seamus O'donovans 2002, a red Z1 from Ian, of Torquay a 3.0 blue CSi, sorry if I missed anyone. I know the club hope to make it bigger next year with an Alpina influence. However, I did notice some members had never been displayed. If you want to be considered and have a car of classic age or it is rare and of interest in that then register your desire well in advance. You must be willing to transport you car and have it there on the Thursday by 1000am and not remove until after 6pm Sunday. The aim I believe is to give all members a decent chance, but the car must be in a very good condition. There was no 6 series this year as some pointed out, but the aim is to try and accommodate people and make it interesting for the visitors. I am also making it clear it is not my decision and I am not sure exactly whos it will be. This was highlight by a chap who has won concours first prize for his 7 series many times and said he would be delighted to display, I am sure that is true of others, but up to individuals to ask to be considered as opposed to wait to be selected, in my view.
I would love to put my B7 Alpina ( one of only 7 in the UK) in the show and would have the bonnet and front spolier resprayed and wheels totally refurbished if selected and given enough notice. It is a 2005 E65, but is rare, even dealers admit to never actually seeing one. I think it might be the only E65 B7 in the club?
