Hi ... just bought a 1991 convertible 320i. I live near Ilkley north Leeds, and looking for someone to service it (preferably someone who is familiar with the e30 series) and where to buy parts? Also need to get a workshop manual? is there any other option other than Haynes?
Whilst always having had classics I am not that mechanically minded.Any help welcome.     Stephen

Most parts will be available from German & Swedish at sensible prices.

I think Haynes is fairy decent, and a lot better than Clymer, which is thicker but pathetic.

There is a lot of experience around regarding the E30 Series, and the injection system is nothing to be afraid of, once you understand how it operates.

Likewise, thre are plenty of good independant specialists around, who are usually more experienced in E30 technology than BMW dealers.

Bentley do a very good service book on the E30.
As Mike says there are lots of specialists who grew up on E30's. Look for the slightly more mature people. You will know when you find one, they will stop everything they are doing when you say E30.
realoem.com is your friend.
You can often get parts from BMW, sometimes for less than ebay etc.
Remember you are servicing based on time, not mileage. So oil change every year regardless of miles, and cam belt every five years etc etc.
