Confused Hi, I recently purchased an E46 convertible with some stains of I know not what on the outside of the soft top. BMW sell a "Soft Top Cleaner" which I purchased. It is a spray but has no instructions on the bottle.

Any ideas please??? I have tried my local BMW main dealer with not too much success.

Bmw do a full kit that has a cleaner, sealer and maintenance bottle. Also halfords do a kit, as does renovo products

Ive not long done mine with the Autoglym kit. Easy to use and works a treat. Water just beads off. The Renovo plastic cleaner is excellent stuff for cleaning the rear window.

That's not particularly helpful of them. If that's the same place you'd bought it from I'd take it back! I have the leather treatment (a mate gave it to me) and that has full instructions on the back...

I also use the Autoglym, and if I remember correctly, you spray on, leave for a short while, then agitate with a coarse sponge that comes with the pack. Then rinse. Once dry you apply the protector.

If the hood is discoloured, I have used the Renovo treatment to redye mine black and it worked well.

May I suggest you go for the full Renovo treatment which will include cleaner, dye & protector - three seperate products but the best IMO :-)
Tell it how it is the Northern way.
