October Monthly Meet- Report & Pics

A Coffee at Straiton before heading for Penicuik, south on the A701 to Leadburn and following right for Moffat....great road that is. Not fully enjoyed(we'll keep that for another day), but just as far as Blyth Bridge then heading left on the A72 to Peebles. A nice twisty road but a bit much traffic today. Arriving in Peebles we carried on to Innerleithen, this is where it got a little interesting as we turned left onto the B709 north towards the A7. Ending up in the middle of a cycling/mountain biking event, parked cars everywhere as we passed plenty of cyclists, it eventually cleared as we headed for the hills and followed on to the B7007. As we crested the summit with a fantastic view of the East of Scotland, we then headed down towards the A7 and turned right heading for Stow. Once there we took a left onto the B6362 over to Lauder, another great road but too many sheep and cars. 

From Lauder we headed north on the A68 and stopped for a couple of pics at a layby at Soutra....

Yes that's another German car brand, someone forgot what club this was 

Next was a Pit stop at the Soutra Cafe for lunch, lovely wee place, great car park, staff and food 

That was meant to be the end of the run, but it was still early so we drove some more. Led by Cambell, we headed over throught Haddington on the B6368, over through Drem, then back up the coast road through Gullane to Port Seaton where we took some more pics of the cars....

This was followed up by an Ice Cream in Tranent, yum
