The largest Classic Car event in Europe, the Laon Classique,
will be held over the weekend of June 7/8, a great weekend involving a hill
climb and some fast driving around the old walled city by some interesting cars,
mainly from the ‘fifties and ‘sixties.
Laon is about 30 miles north of Reims, accessed from the A26 autoroute at Sortie 13.  Driving time from Calais is around 2 hours.

If you fancy an interesting weekend of old cars, socialising
and dining, don’t delay –  there are
still double rooms available in the IBIS Budget hotel for June 6-7-8 at £200 or
so including breakfast.  With another
£80 for the Dover-Calais ferry it has the makings of a memorable weekend, so
don’t delay – book your ferry and rooms on the Accor Hotels and Myferrylink websites.
