Hi

Was just wondering if anyone had attempted to put any sub-woofers in their boot?

I have been pondering about it for a while (I know its not everyone's cup of tea) and have just bought a complete set up from Dynamic Sounds in London - two 10" Pioneer subs in a box to fit straight into the convertible underneath where the roof sits.

Has anyone else done this?  Will get some photos up when Ive finished it... just trying to find a place for the amp to go.

What happens when you put things in the boot, and they stick holes in the cones?

I always wonder about people who spend lots of money and effort on ICE - maybe they don't have a home to listen in, or their spouse does not permit them to play music of their taste!

On the way to work sometimes, I could clearly hear the songs etc even through a crash helmet and ear plugs - I always imagined the drivers with blood running from their ears, and the windows popping out during the loudest passages!

Mike - you just dont understand - they appreciate the quality of their music and are trying to educate you.....I have not been educated yet - think I am too old....I did get a car in once with a huge amp and a boom box....the previous owner was a record producer so guess he knew his music....ended up removing it and then the new owner wanted it put back in  - I can understand people who do this as enjoy music - its the ones with TV/DVD screens in the boot that confuses me

It is loud, but depends how loud you want it really... im not the sort to have the whole car rattling, but the sort of music I listen to (mainly dance) does sound better with a bit more bass than you can get with just normal speakers.

As for room in the boot - there is still plenty in there... Im just careful not to buy anything "spikey" - am looking round for some sub grilles to try and avoid that!
