For a while anyway. 1987 2.2 Excel. actually drives pretty well and has a good linear power delivery.
No doubt I'll sell it and hang on to the (now 434000 Mile) E36.

Nice, always admired the look of those but never had the balls to take the plunge due to their fabled reliability... or lack of. My boss had a red one in the early 90's, as a young clerk I often lusted out of the office window at it.
