The BMW Car Club GB Ltd forum is a medium which enables club members and like minded people to come together, share knowledge and enjoy the experience. Following the events of the recent weeks and complaints from members it has become apparent to the Board that the forum rules and guidelines require to be updated, in line with standard practice, to support the Moderators in controlling any hostile behaviour and to protect our members, volunteers and staff from insult or damage while using this forum.
Therefore with approval from the board we have updated the rules and guidelines and published them on the forum to help us achieve and maintain this.
The Moderators will be working as a single team to ensure the rules are followed and breaches of these rules will be reviewed and considered very seriously. This change will not have any impact on the majority of our members who currently adhere to the current rules and guidelines however from now on we will enforce the zero tolerance policy as approved by the Board. If any member is found to breach these new rules and guidelines they will be contacted by a moderator, advised of the breach and given a warning if appropriate. Moderators have the right to either edit or hide any thread or post which they consider have caused a breach of the rules while investigating the breach. Any subsequent breaches will be taken seriously and could result in a suspension or permanent removal from the forum in extreme cases.
Please note that members also have a duty and are encouraged to report any posts which they feel need to be brought to the attention of the moderators or the Board. This can be done by using the 'report a post' on the post options button or by email to club office so appropriate actions can be taken promptly by the Moderators or the Board.
As is standard practise you will be asked to accept the forum rules when you log in and you will also be able to access them at any time using the link at the top of every page.
All members are asked to read and observe the changes to the rules & guidelines when posting. Members who have already registered under the old rules are advised to read these updated rules thoroughly and review their profile and edit if required to avoid possible problems later.
