If you like you're racing get this signed:

Think about what you can do for the club, not what it can do for you...

Done

I signed a similar petition about 2 years ago due to a racing circuit near to me that was under similar threats, this was to do with residents of the village complaining about noise, traffic etc.

The circuit has been there since about the 1950's & thankfully it has been saved due to the petition but it does have to run under certain conditions.

Whilst I support the principle, this is a bit too general for me.

I will give [and have previously given] support to specific circuits and I will continue to do so.

Good luck Smile

I think the more support we get behind this the better - most local people understand but they only need one mischief maker and it needs to cover the circuits that have been there often before the hoses were built - they know when they move in its there - its like people in Heathrow complaing about the noise - if you care about racing sign up or we may have already lost Croft and Mallory in recent years

Signed - its a no brainer

introduce mandatory noise complaint waiver for anyone who buys or rents a property close to motorsport venue

Responsible department: Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs

There are innumerate cases of people knowingly moving within close proximity of motorsport venues, only to try to have their planning permission revoked or have them closed completely when they take exception to the noise.

It is extremely detrimental to the UK's motorsport heritage, when all the motorsport venues start disappearing. Motorsport and the associated mechanical/engineering business is a key British export and second to none in the world of motorsports.

As such, anyone who wishes to buy or rent a property within a determined distance of a motorsport venue should have to read and sign legislature that waives their right to complain about the noise from the nearby venue. If they do not wish to be bothered by something that was a fixture of the community long before they arrived, they should not move there in the first place.

It was to save mallory park when I signed a petition a short while ago.

I live about 2 miles from the circuit & although it is a small circuit, I have seen some great races there in the past & am glad that it is still up & running.
