Would you recommend using a flushing oil when carrying out a oil change?
My current car is a E46 M3 Coupe - Estoril Blue, manual

Just normal engine oil :)

No need for a flushing additive, they can do more harm then good.

If you change your oil every 10,000 miles or so, when it is really hot, sludge deposits will be in suspension anyway, and come out with the oil.

Those who fall over themselves to keep a FBMWSH  probably have more sludge than the DIY people, as the oil is invariably almost cold when changed.
